Bahraini attorney general charges 13 anti-regime activists with terrorism

Bahrain’s attorney general says officials have charged 13 anti-regime protesters with terrorism offenses as the ruling Al Khalifah regime does not shy away from its heavy clampdown on political dissidents and pro-democracy activists in the tiny Persian Gulf kingdom.

“Charges of forming and funding a terrorist cell have been filed against six persons in custody and another seven charged in absentia,” attorney general Ahmad al-Hamadi said on Thursday.

Hamadi said the convicts had affiliation to the February 14 Youth Coalition — an opposition protest movement named after the date of the beginning of a popular uprising against the Manama regime.

Thousands of anti-regime protesters have held demonstrations in Bahrain on an almost daily basis ever since a popular uprising began in the country in mid-February 2011.

They are demanding that the Al Khalifah regime relinquish power and allow a just system representing all Bahrainis to be established.

Manama has gone to great lengths to clamp down on any sign of dissent. On March 14, 2011, troops from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates were deployed to assist Bahrain in its crackdown.

BahrainStudentScores of people have lost their lives and hundreds of others sustained injuries or got arrested as a result of the Al Khalifah regime’s crackdown.

On March 5, 2017, Bahrain’s parliament approved the trial of civilians at military tribunals in a measure blasted by human rights campaigners as being tantamount to imposition of an undeclared martial law countrywide.

Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifah ratified the constitutional amendment on April 3 last year.

James Williams: When everything you have been taught is a lie.

THE MYTH OF NIXON’S “SOUTHERN STRATEGY”

BY

DINESH D’SOUSA

Originally posted at The Hill
Save America1 Lincoln united his party and saved America from the Democrats for the first time. Can Trump—and we—come together and save America for the second time? [wpvideo u9AmgALj] The Democratic Party’s claim to be the party of the good guys, while the Republicans are the party of the bad guys, hinges on the tale of Richard Nixon’s so-called Southern Strategy. According to this narrative, advanced by progressive historians, Nixon orchestrated a party switch on civil rights by converting the racists in the Democratic Party—the infamous Dixiecrats—into Republicans. And now, according to a recent article in The New Republic, President Trump is the “true heir, the beneficiary of the policies the party has pursued for more than half a century.” Yes, this story is in the textbooks and on the history channel and regularly repeated in the media, but is it true? First, no one has ever given a single example of an explicitly racist pitch by Nixon during his long career. One might expect that a racist appeal to the Deep South actually would have to be made, and to be understood as such. Yet, quite evidently none was. [gallery ids="45963,45964" type="rectangular"] So progressives insist that Nixon made a racist “dog whistle” appeal to Deep South voters. Evidently he spoke to them in a kind of code. Really? Is it plausible that Nixon figured out how to communicate with Deep South racists in a secret language? Do Deep South bigots, like dogs, have some kind of heightened awareness of racial messages—messages that are somehow indecipherable to the media and the rest of the country? This seems unlikely, but let’s consider the possibility. Progressives insist that Nixon’s appeals to drugs and law and order were coded racist messaging. Yet when Nixon ran for president in 1968 the main issue was the Vietnam War. One popular Republican slogan of the period described the Democrats as the party of “acid, amnesty, and abortion.” Clearly there is no suggestion here of race. Nixon’s references to drugs and law and order in 1968 were quite obviously directed at the antiwar protesters who had just disrupted the Democratic Convention in Chicago. His target was radical activists such as Abbie Hoffman and Bill Ayers. Nixon scorned the hippies, champions of the drug culture such as Timothy Leary, and draft-dodgers who fled to Canada. The vast majority of these people were white. Nixon had an excellent record on civil rights. He supported the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. He was an avid champion of the desegregation of public schools. The progressive columnist Tom Wicker wrote in the New York Times, “There’s no doubt about it—the Nixon administration accomplished more in 1970 to desegregate Southern school systems than had been done in the 16 previous years or probably since. There’s no doubt either that it was Richard Nixon personally who conceived and led the administration’s desegregation effort.” Upon his taking office in 1969, Nixon also put into effect America’s first affirmative action program. Dubbed the Philadelphia Plan, it imposed racial goals and timetables on the building trade unions, first in Philadelphia and then elsewhere. Now, would a man seeking to build an electoral base of Deep South white supremacists actually promote the first program to legally discriminate in favor of blacks? This is absurd. Nixon barely campaigned in the Deep South. His strategy, as outlined by Kevin Phillips in his classic work, The Emerging Republican Majority, was to target the Sunbelt, the vast swath of territory stretching from Florida to Nixon’s native California. This included what Phillips terms the Outer or Peripheral South. Nixon recognized the South was changing. It was becoming more industrialized, with many northerners moving to the Sunbelt. Nixon’s focus, Phillips writes, was on the non-racist, upwardly-mobile, largely urban voters of the Outer or Peripheral South. Nixon won these voters, and he lost the Deep South, which went to Democratic segregationist George Wallace. And how many racist Dixiecrats did Nixon win for the GOP? Turns out, virtually none. Among the racist Dixiecrats, Strom Thurmond of South Carolina was the sole senator to defect to the Republicans—and he did this long before Nixon’s time. Only one Dixiecrat congressman, Albert Watson of South Carolina, switched to the GOP. The rest, more than 200 Dixiecrat senators, congressmen, governors and high elected officials, all stayed in the Democratic Party. The progressive notion of a Dixiecrat switch is a myth. Yet it is myth that continues to be promoted, using dubious case examples. Though the late Sens. Jesse Helms of North Carolina and John Tower of Texas and former Mississippi Sen. Trent Lott all switched from the Democratic Party to the GOP, none of these men was a Dixiecrat. The South, as a whole, became Republican during the 1980s and 1990s. This had nothing to do with Nixon; it was because of Ronald Reagan and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s Contract with America. The conservative appeal to patriotism, anti-communism, free markets, pro-life and Christianity had far more to do with the South’s movement into the GOP camp than anything related to race. [gallery ids="45965,45967" type="rectangular"] Yet the myth of Nixon’s Southern Strategy endures—not because it’s true, but because it conveniently serves to exculpate the crimes of the Democratic Party. Somehow the party that promoted slavery, segregation, Jim Crow and racial terrorism gets to wipe its slate clean by pretending that, with Nixon’s connivance, the Republicans stole all their racists. It’s time we recognize this excuse for what it is: one more Democratic big lie.

Algeria confirms second death from cholera, epidemic spreading to new areas

Dubai: The Algerian Health authority confirmed on Saturday that two people have died of cholera, while 139 have been hospitalized as the epidemic spreads to new areas.

“A 77-year-old woman died on Friday night and the tests proved that the cause of death was due to cholera,” Jamal Furar, Director-General of Preventative Diseases at the Algerian Ministry of Health, said at a news conference after meeting with officials from several ministries to assess the situation late on Saturday.

Algeria2.jpg

Furar added, “[The] cases were in four states: Algiers, Tebessa, Blida and Bouira, and the outbreak was linked to water contamination.”

Cholera1.jpg

Cholera is a disease caused by bacteria, and it is most frequently transmitted through contaminated water sources.

In recent months, several cases of water contamination have been reported in Algerian media, from contaminated water wells and sanitation problems to fruits and vegetables being irrigated with wastewater.

Algeria’s last major cholera outbreak was in 1979, when more than 94 people died.

Public anger rose as authorities delayed announcing the outbreak even though dozens have been hospitalised since the beginning of last week. Algerians accused the health minister, who at first spoke of 88 cases of food poisoning on August 20 at a press conference, of negligence.

On August 23, when the first man died, the official story being touted was still of food poisoning.

Several doctors quoted by the Algerian media accused the authorities of trying to cover up the spread of the disease and delay the announcement. They confirmed to media that they notified officials when the first symptoms began to show in some patients.

Hashtag “cholera in Algeria” has been trending on Twitter as Algerians took to social media to express their anger and ridicule authorities after the Director-General of Pasteur Institute, Dr Zubayr Harth, presented the initial information on the disease, stressing that Algeria is not the only country suffering from cholera. “It is in Yemen, Niger and Chad. Many countries have developed cholera and do not announce it … while our policy in Algeria is transparency and it took political courage from authorities to announce the outbreak,” he had said.

Great White Shark Recently, a 9 foot-long great white shark’s tag washed up onto the shore, bloody and battered. Scientists concluded that the shark was eaten by an unknown, larger sea creature.
  •  Comment: This one I remember from a few years back. The scientists monitoring I believe said that the shark had been swimming within about 30 feet of the surface and suddenly took a massive dive into the depths well below its normal range. The suggestion was that a giant squid may have grabbed it.

NEW MEXICO JIHADI TRAINING CAMP FOR CHILDREN SHUT DOWN

ONE CHILD’S BODY FOUND SOURCE from Brainstain

Several days ago, a mysterious compound was discovered in the New Mexico desert, which has since been revealed by authorities as a Muslim Jihadi training facility, teaching child students to conduct mass shootings. Of course, such revelations have not been widely covered by the mainstream media.

New Mexico ArrestExtremist Muslim father, Siraj Wahhaj, 39, was arrested at the compound in Amalia, New Mexico, on Friday last week, where they discovered 11 starving children, who were learning how to use and shoot guns.

Police revealed the compound was used to teach children how to practice and hone their craft in school shootings, but were saved when the police raided the property after earlier intercepting a message which was meant for somebody else, which stated that all the children were starving.

Siraj Wahhaj is the son of a prominent Imam in New York City, who had been on the run since December, when he vanished with his 3-year old disabled son, AG. This Imam has been said by liberal Democrat Linda Sarsour to be her mentor, a man that was a co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, and one now wonders how much Linda Sarsour knew about this Jihadi training camp on American soil.

Hopefully an investigation into the dark motives of Linda Sarsour will come to light, and her subsequent arrest will be in development for condoning Jihad and terrorism in America.

    5New Mexico Sarsour

Last year at an ISNA conference, Linda Sarsour said, “I want to thank my favourite person in this room, Imam Siraj Wahhaj, who has been a mentor, motivator, and encourager of mine.”

    https://youtu.be/1iBFgVKJ2u4

Sirraj’s father is Imam Siraj Wahhaj, who has a terrorist past, and Sirraj Wahhaj has just been caught training 11 children to conduct mass shootings in America. Keep in mind that this is a person that Linda Sarsour openly condones and has vied for in her previous speeches.

    [gallery ids="45889,45891" type="rectangular"]

Wahhaj, 39, was arrested in Amalia, along with his brother-in-law, wife, and two sisters, along with the 11 children who were taken into custody and safety.

Wahhaj was heavily armed with an AR-15 and four pistols when police stormed the compound to arrest him. In court documents filed on Wednesday, prosecutors claim that Siraj was using the weapons to train children to perform mass school shootings.

4New Mexico Training Camp2 The compound is close to the Colorado border, and the FBI had been watching the compound for months, after being led to it in their hunt for the 3-year old disabled son, AG Wahhaj, who vanished back in December of 2017, along with Siraj Wahhaj. The FBI had not raided the compound earlier, as they did not have a warrant, nor was AG physically there at the compound. However, police now fear that a body of a child found on the premises may be AG, although the body has not been formally identified. Neighbours to the compound said that they had heard gun fire coming from the camp in recent months, and that the 11 children present at the compound, had also not been seen in months. Tyler Anderson, 41, a mechanic that lives near the site, said that Wahhaj had arrived in December with enough money to buy groceries and even enough construction tools to build the home. Anderson said, “We just figured they were doing what we were doing, getting a piece of land and getting off the grid.” Lucas Morton, who is married to one of the sisters, Subhanah Wahhaj, owns the land where the family lived and helped to build the compound. Lucas started to complain to authorities once the compound encroached on his land, stating, “I started to try and kick them off about three months ago and everything I tried to do kept getting knocked down.” [gallery ids="45892,45893" type="rectangular"] The children aged 1-15-years old were taken into government custody on Friday, and they were filthy and had not eaten in days. The message that was intercepted by police that led them to raid the compound read, “‘We are starving and we need food and water.” This information was divulged yesterday whilst prosecutors pleaded with a judge not to give Wahhaj bail, where he now stands for the charges of child abduction and child neglect. The police have yet to file charges for the discovery of a body on the camp site – a body of a child, that they believe to be Wahhaj’s son, AG. At a press conference on Tuesday, Taos County Sheriff Jeffrey Hogrefe held back tears and said, “‘We discovered the remains yesterday on Abdul’s fourth birthday.” Siraj Wahhaj is the son of prominent terrorist, Imam Siraj Wahhaj (and mentor to Linda Sarsour), who’s now been arrested, along with Hujrah and Subhanah Wahhaj, and his wife, Jany Leveille. All the three women were charged with child abuse on Sunday, but were seemingly brainwashed and intimidated by Wahhaj. Also charged was Lucas Morton, Subhanah’s husband, for harbouring a fugitive. The terrorist camp has now been shut down, but as to how deep this case will go is anyone’s guess. We can hope that it concludes with the arrest of Linda Sarsour for “treason”, and also unlocks the key to take down more Muslim extremists in America, that are seemingly associated with the Democrat party. DISSENT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED

YOUR MIND IS BEING CONTROLLED BY THE INFORMATION YOU ARE BEING FED.

YOU ARE NOT FREE WHEN YOU DO NOT CONTROL YOUR OWN THOUGHTS

    Produced by James Williams

I have always considered, asking a question to be welcome as it enables people to understand something better. Questions can help develop cognitive ability for both the questioner and the questioned. They can help move someone from a basic functional knowledge to a more intimate understanding of how and why. It is a noble pursuance of wisdom Unfortunately, to an authoritarian person, asking a question is frowned upon as it is a challenge to authority. It is a form of open dissent that should be avoided, deterred or penalized.

    Questions = Challenge = Dissent

    Tommy Robinson

Since his release, Tommy Robinson has been summonsed to appear at the Old Bailey in London on 4th September 2018 to answer the same contempt charges they tried on him at Leeds Crown Court. It seems they are intent on getting him no matter what. I think he would be justified in applying for political asylum to the United States. It is the one country that still tries to respect freedom of speech thanks to its coveted First Amendment. HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSE OF TOMMY ROBINSON BY UK ESTABLISHMENT

CHIMES MEDIA SUBMITS LETTER OF PROTEST Chimes Media Editor, James Williams, submitted a letter of complaint about the psychological torture of Tommy Robinson whilst being supposedly under the care of Her Majesty’s prison service. Tommy looked like someone who had been intercepted while being transported to Stalin’s Gulag. This is a shameful disgrace and not a proud day for Britain. That being said, but the howling toadies of the ‘Humanitarian’ Left and Media, eager to smear him as much as possible while showing no interest in his obviously gaunt physical state speaks volumes.

This is a copy of the letter sent to Right Honourable Penny Mordaunt MP for Portsmouth North:

Dear Penny, VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS – Tommy Robinson Having seen film of political prisoner Tommy Robinson following his release from prison, my first impression of him was how thin he looked. Apparently, he lost 40lbs in weight during his illegal incarceration and torture. I am genuinely shocked and outraged with the manner of his treatment. He looked like a POW from Vietnam. The concerns listed here are not exhaustive and I appreciate it will take some time to answer as it is not you who is personally responsible. • The British establishment are supposed to have a duty of care, so why was this not provided for Tommy Robinson? • Did any doctor examine him during his imprisonment? If they did they should be fired for gross negligence. Prisoners held in solitary are supposed to be reviewed by the Governor and Health care specialists and an independent monitor. Did this happen at all? • Did a Governor visit Tommy on a daily basis? • It is known that men held in solitary confinement for more than a week suffer mental deterioration. Why was nothing done to alter this state such as moving Tommy to a safer prison? • After 42 days in solitary the case is supposed to be reviewed by a regional director. Did that happen? • Tommy was improperly arrested, convicted, tried, sentenced and tortured in prison. Every step of the way he was improperly treated. Why was this allowed to happen and why did nobody intervene? Where were the checks and balances? • Did Leeds (judge, police, anyone) consult with London over Tommy Robinson’s presence outside the court? It took 1.5 hours before he was arrested. This is sufficient time for someone in Whitehall or wherever to arrive in their office, process the information and give instructions on what to do. I and, I suspect, many thousands of people across the world have copies of the Appeal Court’s ruling. It is a revelation of appalling failures, outright dereliction of duties, law and human rights abuse. There should be an independent public enquiry into the way Tommy was treated. • It is global public knowledge that the US Ambassador spoke with the UK Ambassador about Tommy Robinson’s predicament with the threat that if the UK Government did not take action then the US would denounce the May Government. Can you confirm this is the case? • The 13 month sentence was shocking. There has never been a journalist thrown in prison since the 1940s. A sense of proportion should have been retained. It should not have been given in such a short time to allow the court to reflect soberly. Is Judge Jeffrey Marsden acted negligently in his duties? Was personal prejudice a factor? • In the private sector, there would be a consideration of criminal negligence as the sentence and subsequent treatment put a man’s life and health at considerable risk. The impression that decisions over his life came from a senior authority. Were national security elements involved? Whose decision was it to move Tommy from a relatively safe prison (Hull) to one where he was under daily threats and held in conditions that even prisoners at Guantanamo Bay are not subjected to? • Was the transfer an excuse to place him in solitary confinement for over 23 hours per day so that he could be tortured? • On Tommy’s medical record, it was recorded that after his previous incarceration he had suffered Post Traumatic Stress. Why was this not taken into consideration when he was being locked up or, was it because of this he was moved to Onley? • Shortly after his arrest for alleged breach of the peace (even though there was nobody else around to offend), Tommy’s lawyer was advised that he was due to be released. Subsequent to that advice, Tommy was spirited out the back door and charged for a different offence i.e. contempt of court. Was this a deliberate deception to deny him proper legal counsel? • Tommy’s cell door was left unlocked by his jailers “accidentally” on three occasions, putting him at a real risk of violence. Why did this happen? Has the prison governor explained why his staff did this? • Other prisoners regularly went to Tommy’s ground floor cell, and shouted at him through the flap of his door. This was permitted by the prison authorities. This is psychological torture. Why did the prison authorities allow this? • The window in Tommy’s cell opened opposite the prison mosque, so other prisoners would file passed it. He was unable to leave this open during the stifling heat of a hot summer because other prisoners would throw faeces and spit through it. This is psychological torture. Why was this permitted by the prison authorities? • His meals were apparently prepared by other prisoners. He could not see if anything had been put in them. Another prisoner would present him with a plate of ‘food’ at his door and say “Hope you enjoy your meal, Tommy.” Consequently, he could not eat it. Why were meals being prepared for an at-risk prisoner by the very people who wanted to kill him? • Why was Tommy denied more than £12 allowance per week which he had to spend on food? • Tommy was living out of tins of tuna (1 per day). That is why he lost so much weight. If he had not been release when he had, he would have suffered severe physical problems from malnutrion. Why did nobody in the prison report this as a matter of concern? Where was the medical care? • His ‘exercise time’ consisted of walking around a wire cage alone and with no one to talk to. Being in solitary confinement for extended periods is completely inhuman and against basic human rights especially for prisoners who have not caused any disturbance. Was this due to a deliberate program of psychological torture being actioned? • Tommy was only allowed to phone home during the lunch hour, so he was unable to speak with his children as they were at school. This appears to be an arbitrary and punitive decision by the prison. Why? • Tommy saw his family for two one hour periods in two months. As a former sailor, I know what it feels like to be separated from family. Does this point need a question? • He would receive ‘intelligence’ information that his wife and children were being threatened with acid attacks and that the police were in attendance at his home address. This poured more psychological anxiety into his already dire conditions as he was powerless to do anything. There is also no way of knowing that the ‘intelligence’ was genuine. The Leeds Crown Court proceedings were lacerated by the Appeal Court: • The court agrees that the judge should not have commenced the hearing of contempt proceedings that day. • Once the appellant had removed the video from Facebook, there was no longer sufficient urgency to justify immediate proceedings. In those circumstances it would have been preferable to adjourn, as had happened in the Canterbury proceedings. • No particulars of the contempt were formulated or put to the appellant. There was a muddle over the nature of the contempt being considered. In both the short explanation given by the judge of the general nature of the alleged contempt and the sentencing remarks, there was reference to matters that could not been a breach of the section 4(2) order. • The failure to follow Part 48 Crim PR was more than technical [66]. There was no clarity about what the appellant was admitting or on what basis he was being sentenced. • Finally, further difficulties arose from the limited opportunity that counsel had to investigate mitigation. There was little else which counsel could have done within the constraints under which he was working. The level of detail which could be provided to the court was very limited and there was no opportunity to obtain character references. A sense of proportion must be retained. Where a custodial term of considerable length is being imposed, it should not usually occur so quickly after the conduct which is complained of; a sentence of committal to immediate custody had been pronounced within five hours of the conduct taking place. • The order at Leeds Crown Court was also erroneously drawn up to suggest the appellant had been convicted of a criminal offence rather than having been committed for contempt of court. Errors like this have serious consequences upon the classification of prisoners, resulting in the deprivation of privileges and release on licence. In this case, it also resulted in the erroneous imposition of a victim surcharge. I have to ask who was responsible for this travesty? Did Judge Jeffrey Marsden act unilaterally or was he under the guidance from higher authority such as the Home Secretary, MI5, or even the Prime Minister herself? Given that Mrs. May has treated her fellow ministers with contempt over Brexit, she has a record of undue interference and underhanded tactics. I am disturbed by the paltry number of politicians who have taken up Tommy Robinson’s case. Does this current batch of politicians truly represent the interests of the working class or have they become so detached and corrupt of mind that they have no idea what ordinary people want and are concerned with? Labour, in particular, used to acclaim themselves as the party for the working classes. It seems not anymore. Tommy Robinson, to many I have met and spoken with, symbolizes the image of a working class hero. By contrast, the elites (political cohort, upper classes, main stream media) look down their nose at him while turning away from the atrocities of child rape in their own communities. What utter scoundrels! There is a sustained and orchestrated attack on free speech supported by the elites using highly dubious, subjective and contentious hate speech laws; the persecution of those who dare to speak up and the attempt to shut down and control the free exchange of data on the internet. Do you realize that if you kill off free speech, then you drive away investment? I have seen predictions that the UK’s economic position in the world will slip to below 20th in a few years time. This is not because of Brexit, but because of red tape and the image of an oppressive government. It is astonishing to see that what Tony Blair started a Conservative administration will complete. I have seen a rating of 16% for May’s version of Brexit. She has to go. This Government (and the Opposition) have brought the UK into disrepute by the abuse of Tommy Robinson in front of the whole world. Gag orders and attacks on internet information only make things worse. Please notethat Facebook and Twitter values have been plummeting recently because there are alternatives now available and people are switching. You people do not seem to understand. You have lost control and you are not getting it back while you continue to act like fascists. By the way, I am sure you know, that fascism and the Nazis came from the Left. Both the Conservatives and the Republican Parties have endured being wrongly labelled as these odious types for generations. Is it not time the education establishments taught the truth? Benito Mussolini called the Italian army: “a criminal organization designed to protect capitalism and bourgeois society.” That is the language of a Communist not a Conservative.
